Peter L. Miller, President and Chief Executive Officer of The Institutes and Chairman of the CPCU Society Board, Receives 2016 Franklin Award at Philly I-Day 

Peter L. Miller, CPCU, president and chief executive officer of The Institutes and Chairman of the CPCU Society Board, received the 2016 Franklin Award during Philadelphia I-Day’s annual luncheon on April 28 at the Pennsylvania Convention Center.

The prestigious Franklin Award has been presented by the Philadelphia CPCU Society Chapter annually since 1983 to an individual or organization that has made an outstanding contribution to the property-casualty insurance industry in the Delaware Valley. Miller was selected for his leadership as president and CEO of The Institutes and his efforts to:

•           Transform how The Institutes deliver knowledge solutions to the insurance industry by using a proprietary technology platform

•           Preside over the affiliation of The Institutes and the CPCU Society

•           Lead Institutes staff, united behind a meaningful vision, in providing superior experiences for customers

Apart from his role as president and CEO of The Institutes, Miller also serves as a member of the board of the Insurance Institute of Switzerland and Gamma Iota Sigma and is chairman of the Institute for Global Insurance Education.

Miller is a graduate of Colorado State University, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration and a master’s degree in systems management. He also holds an MBA from Villanova University and has done extensive PhD-level work in computer information systems. Miller holds the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU®) designation.
