President’s CPCU Scholarship Program

Each year, The Institutes offer 100 scholarships for the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU® ) designation program as a way to give back to the industry and encourage the pursuit of professional development. An estimated cost of $4,000 per scholarship is covered, for:

  • CPCU textbooks
  • CPCU course guides
  • SMART Study Aids (include Flash Cards and Review Notes)
  • Matriculation and exam fees

Corporate Guidelines:
Your organization can select up to two nominees for the President's CPCU Scholarship. A few guidelines are in place to assist you with selecting your nominees. Your candidate(s) must:

  • Be nominated by the president, CEO, or chair of an organization with a minimum of fifty employees
  • Be nominated by a company whose practices are primarily in the property-casualty insurance field
  • Be considered a high performer, based on recent reviews
  • Be targeted for advancement
  • Complete the CPCU program within three years of receiving the scholarship

College and University Guidelines:
Your institution can select up to two nominees for the President's CPCU Scholarship. A few guidelines are in place to assist you with selecting your nominees. Your candidate(s) must:

  • Be at least a full-time, second-semester sophomore majoring in insurance, risk management, or finance
  • Be nominated by the college dean or president
  • Have a cumulative grade point average of 3.3 or higher
  • Complete the CPCU program within three years of receiving the scholarship
