Independent Insurance Agents of Mississippi, Inc has partnered with The Institutes to provide our members with quality education through the Accredited Customer Service Representative (ACSR) Designation.
Earning the Accredited Customer Service Representative (ACSR) designation clearly conveys your commitment to excellence in customer service and professionalism. Plus, the ACSR designation distinguishes you as being prepared to meet the complex insurance challenges your clients face.
Passing the required ACSR exams earns the Accredited Customer Service Representative designation.
Ethics requirement. The Institutes believe ethical decision making skills are essential to the practice of insurance. All designation program participants must complete either Ethical Guidelines for Insurance Professionals (for all programs except CPCU) or the CPCU program’s Ethics and the CPCU Code of Professional Conduct. The Institutes are in the process of filing the ACSR exams for continuing education (CE) credit. Please refer to this grid to make sure the exam is approved for CE before you register for the ACSR exam. The Institutes will, upon your successful completion of the ACSR exam, automatically report CE credits if the exam is approved for CE in your licensing state.
How to Register for the Exam
Please note: the exam is NOT included with the online course and must be purchased separately. ACSR exams are administered online and cost $50 per exam.
To register for the ACSR exam call The Institutes’ Customer Service Department at (800) 644-2101. Your license number or NPN number must be entered into your Institutes profile prior to taking the exam.
Once you are registered you will receive an e-mail with detailed instructions.
Program Options: The Accredited Customer Service Representative (ACSR) designation program is available as a self-study program via printed textbooks and course guides, or via online learning modules.
The Independent Insurance Agents and Brokers Association (IIABA) offers ACSR courses in a seminar format. Check with your state association for availability.
Public classes hosted by third-party providers are also available for ACSR courses.
Exam Information: ACSR exams are administered in several different formats. If you opt to take the exam on your computer at work, you will need a licensed insurance producer or CPCU to proctor the exam and sign an affidavit.
ACSR exams vary in the number of questions and the time you have to complete the each exam. The number of questions ranges from 25 to 50 objective questions, and the exam length varies between 45 minutes and two hours.
The ACSR Personal Lines track waives AAI 81B.
